Schindler's List is the true story of Oskar Schindler, a courageous German war profiteer who went against Hitler to save more Jews from execution and gas chambers than any other person during World War Two. His list consisted of more than 1200 names.
After the war, when asked by one of the Jews he saved why he did it, this was his response:
"I hated the brutality, the sadism, and the insanity of Nazism. I Just couldn't stand by and see people destroyed. I did what I could, what I had to do, what my conscience told me I must do. That's all there is to it. Really, nothing more."
